Vital Resources provide Engineering, Building and Civil’s support services via its Link-Up Approved ‘sister’ company, Vital Rail.
For many years Vital Resources have taken advantage of the Vital Training Division in order to train Resources operatives in Personal Track Safety (PTS). We have now accrued substantial databases of PTS certified, Skilled and Semi-skilled operatives for work across the Rail Network.
Our services are called on for Infrastructure New Build, Refurbishment and Maintenance projects. The nature of work includes but is not limited to: Station and Depot Construction and Refurbishment, General Rail Civil's including Structure Installation, Repair and Maintenance, Uninterrupted Power Supply, Sub Station and Telecom’s Installations. Rolling Stock Manufacturer and Maintenance are also sectors serviced by this Division.
Rail Recruitment Procedure.
Prior to mobilising any operative, Vital Resources provide Vital Rail with individuals details for a Pre Recruitment check. Vital Rail then seeks verification from SENTINEL that the individual is eligible to work on the Rail Network.
Ensuring the competence and reliability of the operatives that we supply are two of the most important aspects of our service.
The continued growth of Vital Resources is underpinned by total dedication to quality and to this end we have developed a stringent applicant vetting procedure. We have invested in the latest Recruitment Management software “Peoplesoft” and this technology allows our teams to manage the Recruitment Process at every stage and facilitates the integration of Operative Payroll and Client Invoicing.
Due to our longstanding trading history, each office benefits from a core workforce of proven and tested operatives. We obtain references from our clients for all our workers, detailing their abilities, strengths and weaknesses. This allows us to fulfil our most fundamental role - providing you with the right person for the job.
For every new operative, we vigorously pursue suitable references from reputable contractors and verify trade qualifications with the relevant craft authority.
We subscribe to the JIB Information Service
for the purpose of verifying Electrical Trade Qualifications. In order to verify Mechanical Trade Qualifications, we insist on a copy of the CSCS Skill Card or proof of a time-served apprenticeship. We are also affiliate members of the HVCA.
Since the formation of the Major Contractors Group (MCG)
we have been assisting our operatives in obtaining CSCS cards (or equivalent). The vast majority have
now received the Health and Safety Training and hold the
cards to prove this.
Vital Resources is looking to train its own staff to become CSCS invigilator's.
Vital Resources are certified to deliver IIF (Incident & Injury - Free), IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) & BESCA (Building Engineering Services Competence Accreditation) Training.
Finally, our whole recruitment process is operated strictly to our Quality Management System ISO 9001-2000 and our philosophy is simple.
‘We strive for excellence, setting the standards for others to follow’
